The story of Ethical Healthcare Resourcing

Our Story

It all started when Sophie met Saanvi, a nurse from Sri Lanka who cared for her father, Nic, during a stay as an inpatient in a busy London hospital. Saanvi was kind, warm and professional and did everything she could to make Nic's stay comfortable.  She even added a few Sri Lankan spices to his meals to make them more to his liking!

Sanvi moved to London six months ago as part of a nurse relocation programme.  Although she really enjoyed her new role, she felt isolated outside of work and struggled to adapt to the cultural differences of living in the UK.

Drawing on her passion for quality improvement, Sophie conducted interviews with 20 other international nurses and found similar outcomes.   Of the 20 nurses interviewed, 60% said they found cultural integration the hardest challenge.

Sophie quickly identified a gap in the market for an international recruitment company that focuses on the long-term well-being of employees as much as the initial recruitment and relocation process.  With this in mind, she made the brave decision to leave her much-loved job and the rest is history!

Sophie, Saanvi & Nic!

Sanvi was warm, kind and professional and did everything she could to make Nic's stay as comfortable as possible.  She even added spices to his food to make it more to his liking!

**We are pleased to say that Nic has since made a full recovery and is back enjoying  life to the full :-)

About Ethical Healthcare Resourcing

About Us

Since coming up with the initial idea in the summer of 2022, Ethicare Resourcing has grown from strength to strength.

We are a team of passionate recruiters with a wealth of experience in clinical leadership, NHS change management, HR, marketing and finance.

We follow an NHS value-based selection framework which assesses candidates on their clinical skills as well as their commitment to person-led care. This approach ensures our clients have access to a pool of quality candidates with the right clinical, cultural and professional fit first time.

Once we have found the best people, we really look after their long-term well-being.

We understand the importance our candidates place on staying connected to their traditional culture and values and pull out all the stops to ensure these are met. Examples of our support include information on where to buy local cuisine and places of worship to introducing candidates to diaspora networks.

Last but not least, we genuinely love what we do and are motivated by making a positive difference in people's lives.
